Christmas Community Clap Cancelled

Updated: Dec 30, 2020

With the increasing number of coronavirus cases in Wales, including the Vale of Glamorgan, and having taken advice from the council’s Shared Regulatory Services team, the Christmas Community Clap scheduled for 4.30 p.m. on Sunday 13th December in Asda’s car park has been cancelled with a view to rescheduling a similar event once conditions permit.

This is, once again, another disappointing decision, but one which contributes to the continued safety and wellbeing of residents and attendees. It in no way detracts from the huge debt we owe key workers, emergency services personnel, and all others who have gone the extra mile in support of our community. Particular thanks are due to our stalwart group of volunteers who planned this, and other events and are, unsurprisingly, disappointed by this decision.

Thanks to all: Diolch a bawb.

Could I ask that anyone who has participated in the book swap scheme, sunflower growing competition, pebble painting, or used the colouring sheets, and is prepared to be interviewed for People TV to message Ruth John, please? Thank you.
