Open Meeting and AGM

Thank you to those who attended BWCRA’s Open Meeting and Annual General Meeting last evening.

Having to rely on a digital platform gave rise to a quite different experience than had been the case previously, and as other organisations have experienced, attendance was lower than might have otherwise been the case if we had been able to meet together with the easier, and more relaxed social interaction that generally accompanies such events.

A summary of our discussions which as expected, included several good Remus-related issues, will be shared with residents through this platform and the Community FaceBook Group. Although our Open Meetings are not the place to consider individual personal queries, particularly on billing, the general concerns raised were addressed.

As I have frequently commented, low membership numbers of BWCRA continue to cause concern and without membership it will prove increasingly difficult to make adequate preparations for the hand-over of control of the Management Company.

At the AGM, officers and executive committee members were re-elected, but with a plea for other members to join the committee and bring more skills to its discussions and deliberations. Notwithstanding these concerns, the committee will continue to work tirelessly for the benefit of our community.
